8. The shipping store i shipped it from said they did in fact put bubble wrap in it, I strongly believe after USPS broke the ****er open they couldn't fit all that **** back into a broken box so they tossed the packing material out in order to salvage the box.
9. I have photographic evidence of the item i shipped as well as the photos of what you received, i also have more then enough credible witnesses on my end as well.

11. I highly recommend speaking with USPS about the package. Tell them that they broke the box open while it was in their custody point out the massive USPS tape that is all over it.

You told me you had to wait to take them off because you needed a rolling chassis Now you tell me you were out of the country. When I bought them you said you were coming back in 14 days paypal protection would have still been in effect then you said you had the fronts of then it took weeks to for you to tell me you needed a rolling chassis (which if you were only rolling it you could have stopped it by hand I know I have done they are not that heavy) but I trusted you I was nice guy and felt you were working on the car etc so ok cut the guy a brake

Hey I was just answering the guys question you were the one whining on here about losing your civilian job as far as bills I got myself into umm things broke I paid for them did not scam people out of money for them and "what bills?" if I paid for them but it did take money out of my bank account (See some of work for our money and start something called a savings account we don't put all our money into our car its a hobby not a life). As far as calling you a liar if you had responded to my emails and calls and I would NOT have started the thread, next I never mentioned you, you put yourself out there you got caught in your own lies people just saw through you many have said no way that was powder coat and that is a LOT of dust for 1500 miles, and as far as discrediting your branch of the service YOU did that they day you set out to scam me. and where have I insulted you you posted the pic of Obama with the snide caption (juvenile). As for the price if you felt that was not enough money you should have turned down my offer or figured better on your shipping cost and as for UPS throwing the boxes around did they also put all the stuff in one box when it broke open and reduce the shipping rate to 15.00. You do make me laugh

i would never let the guy at the counter pack my delivery, its your job, not the stores. you should care, we know the store dont give a crap.
and the calipers all look like crap, all the fresh chips were defiantly done in shipping, (no rust) but the rest of the paint work is all bubbled up and flaking on its own.
and those pads look to have more then 1500 miles as well as the amount of brake dust and crud on them. i got 5,000 miles on my newly painted calipers, and they look 10 times better, dust and dirt wise.
man up and at least split it with him, you'd be just as pissed as he is right now if the shoe was on the other foot.
he clearly did not get was posted for sale. the powder coating alone, im sure he only got them because you listed them as powder coated, when clearly they are not.
That is the only reason I bought them he stated they were powder coated and rebuilt I figured for the price it was not worth my time and effort to take mine off take apart then bring them to the shop 45 miles away, then go back when they are done bring them home and rebuild them. Maybe I was just being lazy but this seemed to be a better way to go

What was the cost sale of the item? When did the transaction occur?
Spartan did you insure these items? A Large flat rate box to ship is $15.45 a piece. If no insurance, then in my opinion this is a lesson learned. Insurance would have taken care of this.
Logan, were you around when this was delivered? you could refuse delivery with a case like this for this situation.
My opinion, you are not happy with this Logan, but I don't think its right to keep the product if Spartan has to give you a full refund. Now if you two can work out some sort of agreement other than full refund, great. Otherwise, your are grown adults; act like it. Threatening fraud and posting immature images is just nonsense, stop it.
Hey Drunkie that's all I wanted he refunds money I return the parts, or he refund half the money I keep the parts I don't really see any other resolution but is someone has one I am open to suggestions

Logan - This is frustrating, I know but making threats of fraud isn't going to help. Furthermore, in order for it to be Fraud the value of said item needs to be at a felony amount (I think over $1,000) and the item really needs to be described as "New" for this law to take effect. Furthermore, evidence shows we really can't tell what the condition of this item before shipping and with the stamps on the box saying 'Damaged in Shipment' you really have nothing there to prove. All hope is not lost, I don't know when this transaction took place but you do have recourse to protect yourself. If the transaction took place in the last 45 days, you can file a claim; if you are over 45 days you do have recourse through your bank/credit card to charge it back.
Spartan - When you sign up for a PayPal account you agree to provide service to your buyers, basically with every sale you are entering a contract with that person to provide the product they paid for. This includes packing and shipping all the way until it’s in the buyer’s hands and they give the okay. I know your old iTrader score was 20+ that’s great, but unfortunately you could have 1 million positive reviews and that one negative will always haunt you; so let’s deal with this and move past it, you can't sit in this thread and dust your hands off and say I'm done and I have nothing to do with this, bull****, you are obligated to help rectify this situation. I understand your situation with being unemployed and broke, I know a few of us have been there and it seems like this came at the worst possible time to have this happen but this still needs to be rectify. There are a few things you can do to keep money in your pocket and make Logan happy. I have no idea if this package had insurance, if it did, you are in luck, if not, chalk this up to lesson learned. Either way, you have a leg to stand on here possibly, with that lovely stamp from USPS saying it was 'Delivered Damaged'. Since you are unemployed you should have the time to do this, you need to start calling USPS and get them to understand this situation. It is the person who SHIPPED the item that has to start the insurance/damage claim, not the RECEIVEE. Start calling if you’re not getting anywhere, hang up and call back and try a different person, ask for supervisors, make noise, rattle cages. Before long, it’s like anything at the government that gives them a headache and they will throw money at it. If you really do exhaust all possibility on that, then it looks like you two need to work out a compromise here, he does still have the ability to take action against you still.
This is a frustrating situation and let’s hopes you guys can work this out.
Drunkie if you look back at previous posts I have mentioned he should go after the guy who packed and shipped he ignores this one can only wonder why

Re: Does powder coating fade
Oh and you never said they were being shipped unisured nor did you offer it. Like I stated before whenever I ship anyhing even its only a $5.00 item I always insure it, I meam hell insurance is cheap enough. As far as sending the money as a gift as you suggested when it is actually for an item 1.) That is dishonest 2.) it rules out my being able to use paypal protection, for misrepresented merchandise.
Re: Does powder coating fade
Do not buy from Spartan. Noted. Logan is clearly a victim here. The shipper is not off the hook just because the item made it to the post office. The shipper is responsible until the item is received in the condition it was shipped in (Hence insurance). Since the shipper opted out of insurance, the damage that incurred during the exchange is the shippers responsibility. Not to mention, the misrepresentation of the product. Even though the box was banged around, some of the damage on the calipers happened well before they were packaged.

drunkie was late getting up this morning will get you the receivable date in the morning

Even looking past the chips and bad paint job, still does not explain the amount of brakes dust or rust on them if you look inside the piston cup it looks all rusted and not like it was rebuilt in 1500 or less I even called him to make sure it said 1500 mile and that I wasn't reading it wrong the ones on my car now are the originals (except the right rear) been on for 305,000 miles all I have done was change the pads as needed but never did anything to the calipers when I take them off to paint them I will take pics because I am curious as to how they will compare to these
Re: Does powder coating fade
Oh and drunkie to answer a previous question I came home from work and this package was left on the picnic table on my back deck, however had i been there and refused it I am not sure that would have done any good I received it AFTER the paypal protection ran out

Those look like standard brakes, why did you buy the in the first place. Just because you thought they were powder coated?
According to what he told me is he needed a pair of calipers to ether get powdercoated or to put on his car while he powdercoated his own brake calipers.
This makes no sense I live alone and have three vehicles in my driveway all in working condition why would I need to put those on my car while I get the others powder coated why not just drive my van or P.T. cruiser? Even if I was going to do what you claim why would I not just ride 35 minutes to the yard by me where they are plentiful and buy a used set of 4 for $26.00. Rather than pay $110.00 for something that I supposedly was only going to use as a temporary or get coated? I bought yours because they were supposed to have (and this is a quote from you) "maybe 1500 miles on them" and were supposed to be powder coated so like I said before I figure it was not worth my time and effort for the money
Re: Does powder coating fade
Logan541,
Contact the issuer of your credit card and tell them you want to request a chargeback due to fraud. You will be required to explain the details to your bank and if your request is reasonable and factual, then your credit card will be refunded if you can prove fraud on the part of a seller or merchant. You usually have up to 6 months to request a charge back due to fraud. Disregard what PayPal tells you and issue a chargeback.
WARNING SPARTAN: YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ISSUE A REFUND AND BE CHARGED A $20 CHARGEBACK FEE BY PAYPAL IF HE WINS THE CASE.
Re: Does powder coating fade
I also wanted to add PayPal gets pissed when a chargeback is issued when the buyer proves fraud and have been known to close the sellers PayPal account. Especially if you have a history of PayPal complaints. Do the right thing and split the refund with him as he requested because it's VERY REASONABLE.
