i don't want a debate on if i should get 55w or 35w hids. but just feedback from anyone who has put 55wk hids in their projector headlights. how long did they last? did they burn the lense at all? how much brighter were they than the 35w hids?

I have 55W HIDS @ 6K. They work good, all matters on the brand of bulbs and ballasts. Don't even bother with eBay brands. I bought my xenon setup for $50 with a relay kit on cyber Monday. Still blinding people just fine.

has anyone heard of them melting the projectors? if not, then i think i will try the 55w. if they are too bright i will just buy a 35w kit soon after. For $45 cant really go too far wrong right?

Mine haven't melted anything in the headlight. Although, mine are tinted and it caused the spray tint to crack a little bit where the low beam shines through the headlight, not even noticeable unless you face plant my front bumper for some reason.
