If the car does shut down on you (not due to heat) it might be worth a shot to unplug the maf and see what happens.The maf tells the PCM to adjust the fuel tables depending on airflow.If you unplug it, the PCM goes into a default or "safe" mode and you may be able to get to work or home if thats the issue. The reason i bring it up is because they sometimes show no codes when they start screwin up, and i have heard similar issues with them.Minus the car getting hot.It may be something to try if all else fails.
