I just want some input on this, I plan on doing a cam w/headers and port everything I can eventually, but this winter I don't know what I want to do.
I know our transmissions are kind of weak especially once ya start getting over 300 whp...
My buddy had a mustang and before he did anything to his engine he built his tranny up pretty nicely. And it worked out great for him...
So I'm wondering if it'd be a good idea to go basically all out with upgrading my tranny and replacing a lot of hard parts, and put in a shift kit and all the goodies first THEN move on to the engine?
I'm asking because I know I can hurt my tranny by modding out my engine a lot before doing anything to the tranny, but if I get my tranny all beefy and banging out gears like a boss, can I mess up my engine or anything else?
Thanks for everyone on here, since I got my account on here I'm on this thing almost all day everyday reading and learning... Makes me want to buy another Gp to leave stock and be my DD once I get my Gtp now all modded out simply because I feel very comfortable working on the 3800 because I've read soooooo much about it... Seriously guys, thanks for being here.
