Hey all,
Been awhile since I've had to post, but you guys have always been very reliable when it came to any tech issues. My 2000 grand prix GT won't turn over. 2 weeks ago I replaced the battery, and a mechanic replaced my negative battery cable as he said it wasn't conducting enough energy through that line. Once that was done, she has been firing up perfect the last 2 weeks without issue.
This morning was another story though, and exact same symptoms as last time. Headlights come on, do not dim, and the stereo and dash all light up. My security light does not blink, but the engine won't turn over at all. There is no repeated clicking from the starter either. Car runs fine so it shouldn't be an alternator issue (mechanic also said that checked out fine.)
I spoke with another mechanic this morning, he suggested tapping the starter when trying to start it, or disconnecting the battery and re connecting. Fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago and is in good working condition, and i can hear it engage when i try to start the vehicle.
ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this point. I have also tried boosting the car to no avail. Please advise and I apologize if this is the improper place to post.
Thanks again guys/gals!
