NO. Use this filter as it will give a little better life to oil...back to original question, and for the record, I prefer Royal Purple! It's a little more money but will give alittle better MPG.
ok so i just changed the old ladys '03 cavalier...might I add she was 7k miles OVER her change and it was a weird oil filter, dam thing looked like it had NEVER been changed.
exactly. A oil filter can clog up like any other filter. We all know what happens when you get a clogged fuel filter. So imagine the damage of a oil filter.
I started to tell him this, "think about it like you come home from a hard days work, don't u wanna change ur underwear?"
No, it's not that long. Something would have to hit your bumper, hit the subframe, drag along to hit the lower control arm, then hit the filter. If it was hard enough it would dent or puncture the filter, not rip it off.
Put it this way. If you hit something hard enough to tear your oil filter off, you've got more things to worry about. Like where your front passenger strut is.
AMSoil has one good for about 10-15,000 miles, but they make one that's about 75.00$ thats good for like 30-40,000 I'll get back to you on that one! We were literally talking about that today! AMS oil should be the one I'm thinking but monday i'll find out for ya bro. cause next 3,00, im gonna probably get on the AMS myself! Everyone have a good memorial day!
