    yeah its behind the front tire but its at an angle...fixing to go to napa in a few min's and pick up an oil change for my girl's cavalier, gotta do her's today...

    NO. Use this filter as it will give a little better life to oil...back to original question, and for the record, I prefer Royal Purple! It's a little more money but will give alittle better MPG.

    ok so i just changed the old ladys '03 cavalier...might I add she was 7k miles OVER her change and it was a weird oil filter, dam thing looked like it had NEVER been changed.

    Wouldn't suprise me. I've seen people take the filter off, empty it out, and put it right back on.

    lmao, i had a guy at advance auto parts tell me that changing the filter was just an "Option". I was like no, its something you should spend the xtra cash on and replace it...

    exactly. A oil filter can clog up like any other filter. We all know what happens when you get a clogged fuel filter. So imagine the damage of a oil filter.

    No, it's not that long. Something would have to hit your bumper, hit the subframe, drag along to hit the lower control arm, then hit the filter. If it was hard enough it would dent or puncture the filter, not rip it off.

    Put it this way. If you hit something hard enough to tear your oil filter off, you've got more things to worry about. Like where your front passenger strut is.

    AMSoil has one good for about 10-15,000 miles, but they make one that's about 75.00$ thats good for like 30-40,000 I'll get back to you on that one! We were literally talking about that today! AMS oil should be the one I'm thinking but monday i'll find out for ya bro. cause next 3,00, im gonna probably get on the AMS myself! Everyone have a good memorial day!
