I went to Advanced a few weeks ago after my SES light came on. Got it scanned, got a P0141 code. Rear o2 sensor. I replaced the o2 sensor yesterday, how long would be normal for the light to go away if all is fixed? I'm guessing it wouldn't be instant.

Go clear the code with a scanner.

It can take up to 40-50 drives with the car for certain amount of time before the check engine light may go off.

Think Advanced would do that? I don't personally own a scanner.

check around for another auto parts store, they may have a scanner and you can clear the codes then.

Tell them you bought (from them) and changed the sensor. They should clear it.
