Alright so I am in need of your guys help. Yesterday I was driving my grand prix with the a/c on and randomly the a/c starts to surge and the car starts running funny. Right as that happened my "low windsheild washer fluid" message came up on my DIC and my rpm's started to go between about 750 and 1000. I just kept driving cause cause I was about 30 seconds from where I was going, when I parked my car I popped the hood real quick to check if anything was noticeably wrong and couldn't see anything. When I shut my hood and started to walk away I wen't to lock my car and now realized my cars horn is very faint when it locks(haven't tried to honk when driving yet but will today). I am stumped at what could cause all this to happen at once. The only recent thing I have done to my car is I put two relays in my car for my fog and low beam lights. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Best bet is to remove the relays & see if problem continues.

Thinking your avatar picture is a portrait? lol

Check your battery cables, tell us what year/model you drive and smile..cause likely it's the cables.

Didn't think that was a crazy idea at all, many people f things up when doing electrical... but didn't know about this "likely its the cables" scenario. Is this another GP epidemic?

He never touched the electrical from what he told us. Therefore my assumption is the car is stock electrically and he had 3-4 odd electrical things happen at once. Also .. the hood closing/slam and it acting funny again is a symptom, what makes a horn weak? Poor electrical connection.

Yes.. our cars are known for battery cable and connection issues.

Have you tried to restart it since you shut it off? Weak horn sounds like dead battery to me.

He said "The only recent thing I have done to my car is I put two relays in my car for my fog and low beam lights" - that is why I said undo that wiring mod as a first step

Go get battery & alternator tested - does autozone do it for free? Maybe the relay wiring is causing some kind of current draw? I am finance guy so I am grasping at straws here.

I didn't apparently read that well. Good call, although it could be something he did in that area. Like leaving the nut on the fusebox loose.

Well last night I had literally reinstalled everything and it was still happening so that is why I came to here. I made sure all my connections were tight and secure, all my bolts were down as far as they will go, leaving the battery unplugged for a hour, and even that my windshield wiper fluid was full hahaha. Today right after I made this post my car still had all the same issues it did last night but randomly at work my horn started to work when I locked my car and the low windshield wiper fluid warning wen't away. My horn works as I am driving but I am going to wait till tonight when my lights come back on to see if any of the issues come up again. tomorrow I will be taking it into autozone to get my battery and alternator checked out. Oh and to all that were wondering I drive a 2004 GT1

Alright so tonight I had the chance to drive it a good 40 mile round trip for hockey and now it seems everything is fine, I did absolutely nothing new but add windsheild wiper fluid and unplug my battery for a hour last night. Does anyone know what could have caused this problem for that short time?
