Damn, that's what I was afraid of. I was hoping the wing nut just threaded onto a stud. So, it would appear the wing nut is more of a screw. Hmmm... may have to ditch the fastener that comes with it.

Thanks for the pic. It really helps me get a game plan together. Should work with a little help from a drill, my Dremel, and a trip to hardware store.
