    I have a 98 GT no rev. lites,no trunk pop,no auto locks. I have replaced switch on trans. Please help

    Sorry,I am not a very good typer.I have a1998 GT,the reverse lites don't work,also the trunk release button does not work,and finally the auto matic door locks do not work.
    I have replaced the neutral safety switch

    First thing I'd do is check all of your fuses, but after that you might be on the right track with the BCM. My car had a bad BCM (also a 98 GT lol) and none of my interior lights worked. Dash lights worked (for the gauges), but glove box light, map lights, rear lights, floor lights, none of them worked. My power locks, trunk release button and a few other interior things were dead.

    ^ Check ALL the fuses first. Most likely if the BCM was bad you would be having ALOT more problems than just those few.

    I disconnected the switch on the shifter, and put a new fuse in for reverse lites.I still don't know if the BCM is bad or if it is the switch in the shifter.
    It looks like I would have to replace the shifter to replace the switch.I bypassed shift lock and key. Everything is working now without blowing fuse.
    I can at least get the car inspected now. Anybody know if I can test the switch or do I just keep throwing parts and money at it?
