I just bought a 2004 gtp comp g 2 days ago. I was driving today and all the elctronics shut down on me then restarted. I was just driving home from work tonight when the gas, coolant temp, and rpm gauges all stopped working and the comp flashed to service traction control system. I pulled over and shut off the car, restarted it, then all the gauges worked fine again. Now i have a check engine light on though.

If anyone has some knowledge of this please help out.

    Thank you!

    Maybe a loose ground somewhere?

Just a thought here on why the car just died, a known issue on the 3800 platform is the Crank Sensor failing and causing everything to shut down, but then allowing everything to restart and work perfect till it happens again.

I would take the car to an o reillys and or autozone and get it scanned for free and report back with a check engine light code, with the code we can help you figure out what the problem may be.
