    have a 02 grand prix GT. have noticed gas gauge starts on the amount of gas i believe to be accurate then it slowly increases on accelaration and then slowly declines back down to the original place. i am suspecting the fuel sending unit. am i on the right track?

    Sounds like it. Will probably eventually get worse.
