2000 GTP AC will not change vents

OK...so my first post here...Hello! I have a 2000 GTP and the AC will not change when attempting to change the ventsfrom the control. It is a dual climate control and I have already checked the passenger blend door actuator and it is working properly. Before I rip into the drivers side to verify that thet is sorking properly, does anyone have a solution for me? When I change the settings on the control, I do not hear a clicking noise, so I am leaning towards the vacuum solenoid. I do not want to just throw parts at it, but if I have to I will.

Anyone have the answer to my issue?

Well...after a little more searching I am able to determine that the issue is with the vacuum line that runs along the fire wall, down by the battery and then back into the firewall somewhere. It is cut in two. There is a rubber "boot" looking thing that is connected to the line that is attached to the strut tower. Is there a coupler on this that I can replace ( so I don't need to find out where the whole line goes into the firewall ) or do I need to just replace the whole line?

I had the exact same problem, I just replaced the whole vacuum line and it fixed the problem. Got a bunch of dust in the face when the vents started to work properly again..Oh and it's ends right under neath the passenger dash, towards the center of the car.

Where does the line enter the firewall?

There will be a triangle plastic looking piece to where the vacuum line connects, it's underneath the passenger dash area, kind of towards the middle of the car. Slide the seat all the way back, jump under and take a look, can't miss it.

So toward the center of the firewall...ugh (looking for the point it enters the engine compartment to the passenger area). I love this car but I am getting tire of working on it! LOL

you can also just get a new piece of vac tube, cut it to 4 inches long, and slide it over the 2 ends of the broken vac line.

as long as its nice and snug it will hold just fine. the rubber kind. not plastic like is there already.

Yea my gtp required a lot of fixing, but in the end I love this car so much. I can get up to 34 mpg. Nice did you find where the end of that vac line ends?

Chicken - I did not do it last night...it will be a project for the weekend. It was almost 10PM my time last night. It has been not working for months, what is a few more days (the GTP is my wife's car )

And how in the hell are you getting 24MPG? My wife is topping out at 26-27 (highway miles now). This is the one and only car that I have ever bought brand new from the dealership. After I rear ended someone 8 years ago, I had a ram air hood put on and then I got the CAI box with the hole to match up to the hood so it is a true Ram Air.
