I'm using conventional oil but can I use Full synthetic or Synthetic blend in my 2000 Grand Prix GTP? I've got 170,000 miles but the engine was replaced at 135,000 miles with a used engine that had 43,000 miles (135,000-170,000=35,000+43,000=78,000 total give or take few thousand miles).

I run synthetic in all my stuff. I only really use conventional if I just don't care about the vehicle.

Should add.. Synthetic blend might not be a bad compromise for you.

You can use synthetic. As an example, Pepboys has peak synthetic for $20 with a filter.

Thank you guys for the answers. Plain on it soon just haven't decided to seafoam it before doing it (heard pros and cons about it).
