when i try to turn on my car it doesnt start or crank. If i keeping messing with the terminals after about the 5th time of taking the negative cable off and putting it back on the car cranks and turns on but once that happens I have to keep pressing the gas or else the car will die. After this happens my cars idle is horrible and the rps jerk back and forth quickly. No check engine codes. I've had suggestions on replacing the iac valve but I havent got to it yet. With these symptoms what does everyone suggests doing?

Take out the IAC, push the bar and nipple into the IAC, put it back in the throttle body, leave unplugged and try to start car. If it stays running yeah IAC oh idle will be higher don't be alarmed.

    Did you clean the TB?

May be a huge vacuum leak or the closed loop fueling is messed up due to a sensor.

Try unplugging the MAF and see if it idles better.

If that doesn't work clean the TB.

Remove the wire connector from the sensor and start the car.

I bought a maf from Napa once, box had right part number but wrong part inside. Same exact issues you're having.
