yes
If you push the schrader valve in on the fuel rail after cranking, does fuel spray out or just dribble?
im gonna throw out the resistor for this one to be tried first.
find the fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse block, bend tab 85 out so it cant go back in. this should keep the fuel pump in high speed mode tricking the resistor. if this doesnt work then you have another problem. good luck
i just remembered that i replaced the intake manifold gaskets but i didnt spray starter fluid on the manifold. could that be a reason?
So was it running, or did you take it apart and now it wont start?
i did the intake gaskets then it was running. Then i messed up where my thermostat housing goes. So I had to replace the LIM. So basically had to do the job again. But this time i forgot to spray starting fluid.
You spray after its running to check for leaks. Make sure you have everything plugged in. Did you have the coil pack bracket off again?
No I didnt take the coil pack off.
ok, so do you have spark and fuel pressure? and injector pulse?
how do I know if I have spark and fuel pressure and injector pulse?
Spark is easy...take off spark plug wire from spark plug, hold the end in your hand, have someone crank the car...if you get shocked, you have spark.
good one
Seriously, it works. It's only 60kV...it'll sting like hell but you certainly need to know. The fuel check is to push in the little schrader valve like I said in my first post.
OMG Jason. I'm surprised checking for fuel pressure doesn't involve drinking gas with a check like that for spark.
Personally, I like to spend the $3 on an inline spark tester. It's a simple flashing light that tells you if spark is present. \
A fuel pressure gauge will tell you about the pressure
Injector pulse..that can be tested with a 194 light bulb.
