So i replaced the fuse pump fuse sprayed starter fluid and then started the car and it started ran for a couple seconds then died again and battery light came on. Thats the exact same thing that happend when i first started it yesterday. No it wont start again
I think this may be helpful to you. Since you keep mentioning the battery light etc.

If your spraying starter fluid at it got it running for a moment, then you are likely not getting fuel. I may have missed you answering if there is fuel pressure at the schrader valve or not. If there is pressure there, look to the fuel injector fuse. If the fuse is good, test for power at the injectors. If you have 12+ at the injectors, then there may be an issue causing the pcm to not turn on the injectors.
i dont see how i would bend 85 and still be able to put the relay back in without breaking it
i tried cranking the car then pressed the schrader valve and nothing happend. No spray or dribble
when i say the battery light stays on all the lights come on then they go off. but the battery light stays on thats why i kept bringing it up
bent the 85 tab and the car doesnt start
if it helps. when i was first trying to start the car and it wasnt starting i could smell gas after. but now when i try to start the car i dont smell any gas
but it starts sometimes just dies right after. If the fuel pump is dead would it even start at all?
sounds like its priming and then quitting maybe, you hear the pump when you turn the key to run?
if your schrader valve has no fuel at all coming out of it, you have a fuel problem for sure, if the tab being bent did nothing, that bypasses the resistor, so that leaves the pump.
well im tired of putting money into this car so looks like ill be parting it out. Thanks for everything everyone I really appreciate it.
Pin 85 didn't work because Mike never reads what I type. The fuel pump resistor symptoms are starts and dies. Because the fuel pump would prime the cylinders.
Now in the current case, you aren't getting fuel. So what you need to do is stick your finger on the schrader and tell us if there's any pressure there. If there's no fuel there, then I'll send you to check that the pump has power. If there is fuel there..then it's off to injectors.
However..since I've already typed this once and it seems to have been ignored. I should probably go grab a beer and watch this thread for the next couple of days.Scotty..pass me a beer will ya buddy.
i said earlier in the post that "i tried cranking the car then pressed the schrader valve and nothing happend. No spray or dribble"
Sounds like a fuel pump issue then. If you pull the access panel in the trunk and have someone try to crank it for you while you keep your hand on the fuel pump, you'll feel it vibrate if it is working. Or you can just try installing another one.
