Theses issues are old & It's been snowing a lot lately so I figured since I'll be needing the rear defrost a lot more so I'll just throw this issue out there since I spent the last few months on and off trying to figure out what's going on. I'm basically giving up and gonna need some assistance.

In the summer when I got the car it came with barely any of the needed fuses and relays. (That's a story for when I start my own thread about my car) Nothing worked, high beams, horn, sunroof windshield wipers etc. , You even had to turn on the headlights to use the door panel to roll down the windows.

The defrost button lit up before but I'm not sure if it worked. Once I installed the fuses and relays It just stopped lighting up, I'm sure I put the right relay in under the dash but still nothing maybe I'm missing something .. Any suggestions?

Also as an added bonus problem, on my car when I switch on the park lights my headlights come on with them. If I remember correctly they shouldn't come on when the park light setting is on. This is something I never could figure out & it annoys me. This is also an a issue from when I installed the fuses and relays. Before the park light setting didn't work at all but now it does but with the added headlights any input?

It would help if we had more background as to why all this stuff may have been missing.

Other than that..I'd say follow wiring and ensure the relay is getting power, actuating and sending power to the defroster.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

To sum things up, the car was gonna be sent to the junk yard . So whoever had the car before my uncle just started pulling fuses idk what made him do to that tho.

Ever go buy fuses? That's likely the culprit. Heck.. I bring needle nose pliers to the JY if I'm low on fuses.

Ok.. so we doubt any wires were snipped/nothing malicious or cooked wires are likely a problem. Does that sound fair? If so.. I'd aim toward relay. Find the one for the defroster and check all inputs to it. The light issue has me thinking something in in a location where it doesn't belong.
