I'm having a problem with a grinding/marble rolling noise from the passenger-side vent area in my 2005 Grand Prix, and hoping someone might have some ideas what it might be. I was out of town and hadn't touched my car in two weeks, came back and suddenly there's this awful noise. It only happens when the air is blowing — it's silent when the air is off, grinds when it's on, and it makes the same noise whether the air conditioning, vent or heat is on. It doesn't change volume or pitch with the engine (it's a steady sound), but it does change based on how much I turn up or down the air. Thanks!

Sounds like you have leaves or something else jammed in the blower motor. I would take it out and see what you find. I've had critters pull insulation out and put it in the motor before. Could be something similar.
