Thread: Car wants to die after overkill install..

After I installed my overkill pcm my car ran fine then three days later I started it up and it turned over fine, put it in drive and pushed the gas pedal and it bogged down and almost died... Now everything my car sits for a long period of time (6+ hours) it does the same thing. One time my car actually died and I had to put it into park and restart my car... What the hell is happening?... Did I really just waste 250 dollars on a pcm?

I put my overkill in last friday. It started this problem three days after that and hasn't stopped...

check sensors might be the maf mine went rite after i did my top swap

Maf is within spec

did you do anything to the car??

3.6 pulley, 104s, 180 stat, ssac headers, high flows cat, res delete, cai. All was listed for the pcm

I'll do that and post back later with the result

Mine does the exact same thing. Switch from reverse to drive and give it has and it just about dies. Drives great other than that.

250 bucks for a canned tune?!?!?!? Holy crap! I think the price for my custom tuning is going up...
Unhook your battery for awhile and try again.

That includes a core charge of 100 or so.

Yeah 150 if I return my old pcm but I'm keeping mine just incase

Took overkill pcm out and car ran fine. Put it back in and my gauges stop working when they want to, gas mileage plummets and it still wants to die apon first take off...
