My girlfriends car(2001 Gp GTP) has been stalling out constantly and I can't find the issue. When it stalls out it takes some time to start up and when it finally starts it dumps black smoke. So far I've replace the crank sensor which prolonged the time between stalling, but its since came back. So i replaced the TPS and MAF due to the codes being thrown after it stalling....again it prolonged the stalling but it came back. So i went over all the vacuum lines and replaced the cracked ones and then the car went several days without stalling, and now its back again. I'm at a loss on what to do. I checked the fuel pressure it has good pressure(43psi) and even when it stalls out the fuel pressure remains at 43.

Disregard the posts below, I erased my old post and typed in the info above.

I'm not familiar with the symptoms you have being caused by a bad EBTM It sounds more like a bad o2 or something else going on. With your HPT take a look to see if the O2 is toggling properly and or if there are any misfires.

On the ebt/cm communication issue, I'd start by reseating the connector a couple of times to it.

There was a old o2 sensor voltage code, a misfire code, and MAF code......but once i deleted them the only code that came back was the ebtcm code again....Im sure the misfire and o2 code was due to the stalling the running rich that often happens.

I'm confused... what are symptoms of a bad ebtm? They aren't stalling and running rich to my knowledge. Those are symptoms of a bad maf and or O2 sensor.

    how can you bump this?

replace the sensor's throwing the codes.

deleting the code does not fix anything.

easy, post the word bump so this post is "bumped" to the top of the list, and never did I say I simply deleted the codes I replaced the sensors that were causing codes to be thrown.

thats would be my next point as well.

in that case check the wires for damage and the fuse boxes.
