I run those plugs in my 00GT and they do well. I just took them out, cleaned them up and regapped them and still running fine. Get some lifetime wires from Autozone. Change the fuel filter and air filter, clean the MAF (with approved MAF cleaner also found at said Autozone or the like). Then maybe Seafoam the motor since you seem to do a lot of city driving. Will help clean the motor out.

Depends on the type of city driving you do too. On the highway I get 32-31 MPG In small cities I average 18MPG and where I live in NYC I average 14 MPG because I spend more time idling in front of a red light than I do in motion. What mileage are you getting in the highway?

If you have to change the front I would probably change both. Make sure the o2 sensors and the MAF are working good. Fuel filter is a good one to change. Cleaning of getting even a new air filter like an open cone or CAI can help a bit to. I had the same problem and after changing the sensors and fuel filter I now get almost 20 in town and an avg. of 30 on the interstate.

Quit driving like an ass or move into the country then call the town a "city".

Traffic kills all fuel economy anyways.

I know this is probably going to sound stupid but what's your driving habit's like. I try to keep my rpm's below 3k and i drive 5 under most of the time to and from work. After doing this I noticed a huge mpg gain. Also make sure all your tires are properly inflated.

I drive about 10mph above speed limit so when it says 30 i go 40, 20 i go 30.. etc.
perhaps I should drive slower ? lol

My habits are stay somewhere near the speed limit within 5mph and not getting to speed extremely quick but I dont take my time either. Usually under or a little over 3 is what i shoot for

Just my 2 cents but... I had original wires for 100K miles and was using bosch platinum plugs for about 75K miles..... replaced both of them to try and increase fuel mileage - it did nothing at all.

Well, I was thinking of just getting the front 02 sensor replaced.. that should probably fix a bunch of milage problems.
Also getting a new fuel filter would hope .. I help, since this car most likely has its original filter on lol
