Well got my car all back together yesterday and so far so good, so today I decided to replace the blower motor in my car because it was squeeling etc..I had ordered a replacement a while back and yes my car has the auto climate dual controls. Anyways after being upside down in my car for an hour or so I finally got the damn motor replaced. Got in the drivers seat, turned on the car and started to play with the controls. I had it full blast then all of a sudden got this loud POP sound from the dash, fan was still blowing, and some dust or smoke blew out of the vents, I think it was smoke but like I've said this car has been sitting for 3 years so it could have been a bunch of dust on a blend door too I guess.. But now I'm afraid to run the blower for very long because I'm afriad it might cause a fire!I've played with the controls some more keeping the speed of the motor on the slow end and it blows fine, got down and felt of the motor housing and it's cool to the touch, not hot etc. So has anyone else experienced that? Know what it could have been???
