i am considering going intercooled but i have a few questions

first i know the ZZP short stack IC isnt preferred but if i could get one for $250 should i?

also how hard is this to install into a 99 GTP?

(this is gonna sound dumb) what makes the pump work, is it electric?

it seems really straight forward a lot like the engine coolent system ive replaced pretty much all of that on these cars before, id just like to hear from some people who've already done it thats all

If you can pull the supercharger off you can install an intercooler. The pump is electric.

Just there are better options than the SSIC. You might as well pick up a IC from sseimnop seeing you will have much larger gains, and safety net

ok i understand that bigger intercoolers will give you more power and what not but what are the problems with the ZZP SSIC besides the lack of gains?

    Bingo.

"Skip the Short Stack. Save your money and buy at least a Stage 2. The Short Stack is half the price, but you get what you pay for. They heat soak very quickly and are just not really thick enough to do any good, plus they have had warping issues."
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Then dont go intercooled unless your going for big mods. if you dont have a grand to spend on a Stage 2, then dont buy one.

if you buy a SSIC for 250 youre still gonna have to get the fittings, heat exchanger, ect.... and assuming you get it new itll be close to a grand...

a stage 2 has more advantages than just "more power" (technically its better at dropping temps not increasing hp) and is a way better investment...

the only think stopping me from going intercooled is the price of fuel rails, though my car is not modded to much at all yet
