Alright, I bought my 00' Grand Prix GT About 3 weeks ago and other than some clean-up, the car pretty sweet. I drove it for about 2 weeks and noticed the engine misfiring and at the same time of course, the service engine soon light came on and is still there. I had a local parts store check for codes and two codes came up...175, and 305. Before having it checked for codes, I replaced all of the spark plugs and wires...I was hopeful that this would take care of the problem, but it didn't. Possible causes for the code 175 are: fuel pressure condition or MAF sensor fault, Failed O2 sensor, Ignition misfire condition, fuel injector problem, or Engine mechanical condition. As for the 305 code: Ignition fault-spark plugs, wires, coil, or vacuum leak, injector fault, and high or low fuel pressure. My question is...can any one on here tell me if one of these is more likely to be the problem, and can any of these causes be ruled out? Like I said, I did change the plugs and wires...been working on cars (much older cars) for a long time, but When it comes to cars loaded with sensors, honestly I get into trouble.

Both codes you listed share the same symptom of a fuel injector issue. I would try a full seafoam treatment then some lucas fuel injector cleaner.

How soon can expect results from the seafoam and lucas? Don't suppose there's a test to determine a bad injector....at times this miss doesn't seem to be that bad, but really a miss is bad anyway you look at it. Don't notice it when I'm driving, unless I'm at a stop...then ya know it.

Another good cheap maintnance thing to check or replace would be the fuel filter.

Seafoam works right away for the vac line portion, and it just takes a tank of fuel for the gas tank portion.
Lucas is also a fuel mix, so it should work within the single tank.

Cool...I'll do that tomorrow and see what happens. I appreciate the info Explicit_Spade...I'm running out of ideas fast, so hopefully this will work.

Well Explicit_Spade, I must say That the seafoam seems to have fixed my misfire issue...at least for now. To reset the SES light I disconnected my battery for about 10 min today while waiting 30 minutes for the seafoam treatment to do its thing, and since then (30 miles later), I have no service engine soon light, and a smooth idle...I sure appreciate the tip on the seafoam
