This is a bit outside of the Pontiac bubble, but we need some help. My fiance recently had to replace the steering column in his 87 Monte Carlo. When he did this he also put on a Grant GT wheel. Upon doing so, both turn signal blink intermittently and not as bright. For instance 1 short blink, out for 2-3 seconds, the 3 quick blinks. The four ways work beautifully, bright consistent blinks. Also the wiper will work when flicked for Mist, but when used regular, they have to be held in position to stay on. You cannot let go or nothing happens. The horn on the new wheel does not work either.
This may possibly confuse or help things further, the reason why I am even posting this is because he put yet a different column in today that actually matches down to the part number, (which the last one did not). Now we have the same exact problem with the new column. Any ideas would be appriciated!
