Not an expert, but I would think if you hear the pump come on, but it's not pumping, the module is not the problem. I'd replace the whole pump.
no need to drop the tank in grand prix, fuel pump access panel in the trunk.
and yes you can just change the pump, and reuse the rest of the pump housing.
Only took them six years to add the access panel?
Isn't the 04+ returnless system filter in the tank?
well tomorrow I'm going to mexico (live about 15 mins away) and get it there for about 45 bucks I already called and the cool thing is that I don't have to drop the tank like on my Grand Am. In the process I'm also changing the fuel filter...
Don't know Bill, I haven't played with any 04's.
does anybody has some pics or a website that show how to take out the fuel lines.
I have the disconnect tools but don't seem to fit and I don't want to break the actual housing lines from the fuel pump.
any ideas??? suggestions??
looks like squeeze and pull it off, if this is the kind you have.

well I changed the fuel pump last week and it turns on but I have to crank it like 2 or 3 times before it actually turns on...
any ideas on what's causing the issue??
was that right after you put the battery back on, if so its normal.
well, it's been about 3 days already and it still does it..
read wrong, not sure, maybe the throttle body's real dirty.
after you pull the battery, every time i un hook my car it takes a few turns of the engine before it starts, but it goes away after a few starts.
any recommendations on what cleaner to use or any cleaner will do?
I read the entire thread and nowhere do you say you've replaced the fuel filter or checked fuel pressure.
I already changed the fuel filter, haven't checked the fuel pressure cause I don't have the gauges.
What is the right pressure?
Around 45 to 55 psi
so if it's low how do I get it there..
On the 04 I believe the regulator is in the tank. You've replaced the pump already, right?
