    Does anyone know where I can buy just a cold air intake BOX?? Just need the box OR a write up on how to make a box. Btw if it masters I have a 07 s/c gt prix

    Open cone is no good, hot air means pulling timing. Need a box!

    gains and losses are minimal at best either way.
    for a box...i think SLP makes a see through box for your intake. not sure exactly what its made of...i think fiberglass?

    Even ten degrees can make a huge difference in power if your pcm has to pull timing, I'll check out slp

    I say roll with the open cone. Like 80% of people on this thread go with open cone

    Yes open cone is hotter air BUT the air gets super heated going through your SC anyway. Plus open cone flows better and that helps a lot.

    IMHO. open cone > CAI

    Previous owner of mine took like 1/8 - 3/16 gauge steel and folded it with a press to make a "shroud" on mine, but its basically a more open concept of a K&N style box.
