About a week ago when I attempted to start my 04 GTP it only made a clicking noise as if the battery was dead. After a few attempts it started, I thought it was possibly corroded battery terminal so I cleaned them and it seemed to be ok. Then a couple days ago when I tried to start it the starter would engage and it would start to crank then quit, it did not act like the battery was weak, just that it was losing power after the starter engaged. After 5 or 6 tries it started and was fine until today. I tried to start it and it acted like it had the first time, it would only make a repetitious clicking sound and the entire electrical system was acting strange. The radio was making a strange humming sound even when off, the key buzzer would stay on even when the key was out, the headlights wouldn't come on when the key was on and so on and so forth. I thought possibly the battery had an internal short, I've seen them do strange things in the past, so I unhooked the battery and connected a battery charger to the cables to bypass the battery to see if it acted normal. It acted the exact same way so I eliminated the battery theory and by now I'm thinking maybe it's the ECM. So I hooked the battery back up and all of the sudden I heard a very loud pop similar to a light bulb exploding coming from the fuse box next to the battery and now everything is dead. If anyone has any suggestions or has had a similar experience i woujld appreciate any information. Thanks.

    Disconnect the battery cables.
Check the hot wire that runs down to the starter
I've seen these short out on the rad support

Agreed and possible. Sounds like when you reconnected, something did rub and a fuse/circuit breaker blew/tripped.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
