After I shut off my engine in my 2000 Grand Prix GTP, I hear some sort of gas leaking. At first it sounded like air still being sucked into my CAI, but now I believe it's a leak in the A/C. I cannot tell where it is coming from.

Video would help if possible. And you mean it sounds like someone letting air out of a tire?
Mine does that too. I only notice when my hood is open tho. I believe it's coming from the brake booster?
If you don't use the AC, you probably don't hear the noise..
That's normal, it's the pressure etc n the AC system doing it's normal thing.
Okay, because it only happens if I have the A/C on, and I'm scared that it is letting out freon. I had to recharge it this spring, so hopefully nothing is leaking.
The ac is a closed system, so if you had to recharge, you had a leak. Most r134a's out there have a leak sealer in them though, so it's possibly fixed for now. I doubt that's your noise though, if it was leaking fast enough to be heard it would be empty over night
I never use my ac. Honestly cant remember that last time I did haha So is that still what it is?
My A/C still blows ice cold and the noise still happens when I turn the vehicle off, so it should be good![]()
its your ac refrigerant leaking through your orifice tube from the high pressure side to the low pressure side. Its normal.
Ricky..that elbow from the hose into the booster is a check valve...you may want to check it.
