First thing I did with my 05 was read ^^^^^ the link above great info!!!! I have work on my car every day since(if you want to mod you better get your hands dirty!!) .
    1. Full Tune up ! take the dexcool out and add green or yellow antifreeze ($80 for a flush).
    2. Open Cone! I bought a 9" intake from auto zone and stuck it to my MAF (love the whine ).
3.Intense PCM tune or custom tune(many to choose from , so far the intense tune rocks!).
4.Speed Daddy Headers (***** to install but worth it).
    5. Colder plugs (running al104's).
    6. 3.6 MPS System from smoothflow pulleys.
    7. Soon to add Thrush turbo mufflers

Hi and welcome. Having a couple of friends into modding from Sunnyside, I'm unfamiliar with the shop you linked. Their site doesn't list much about the 3800. I'd suggest checking with them to see if they do much motor work and know the tips/tricks on the 3800. There is tons of knowledge here about what works best and how the various things work together in our motors. I've seen a bunch of people take their cars to mechanics or shops like that and many times the guys don't have experience with our cars. Sure they can put some mod parts on, but at a cost to you or the car.

For example, here's a write up on doing headers.
    http://www.grandprixforums.net/how-i...hod-44126.html

Many guys did these for years through the top and it too much more time, effort etc. Following this info, you can do it in about 4-6 hours.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Definately read that link posted ^^^. As for the shop u are referring to, like bill said the guys have to b very familiar with the 3800 engine otherwise its just nother mechanic throwing mods in a car.

And yes there are other things that require you tuning the pcm. For example, idk how the tb is on the 04+ but on my 02 there's a huge "hump" that I was gonna port and call it a day but bill^ brought to my attention that it needs to get tuned. I wouldn't have guessed but it makes sense.

So read that thread at least 3 times. And when ur getting ready to mod, read it again. And u can always post threads to get peoples experiences and/or opinions.

Talking about reprogramming the computer, the only mod that I can think of that needs a computer reprogramming is a smaller pulley (if there is anything else let me know) Moreover, even if I get the computer reprogrammed to handle the smaller pulley and increase the rev limiter, will the check engine light go on and how can I avoid this. I ask this because most YouTube videos I see of modded Comp G's that have smaller pullies seem to run fine but in mostly every video, the check engine light is on.

I already have the shop in mind that does this kind of work and they are legit too. I will include a link in this post but can I just brink it to a car mechanic too? Headers I am also looking into doing since they sound like a good idea especially since mine are all rusted. I am just fearing it may screw up the sensors as this goes with the intake as well. Also, if I do this, will I have to worry about that aluminium around the headers being removed or will they unnecessary?
Judging by your comment above, you need to educate yourself in modding the 3800..........do that before you do anything else. The links supplied in these thread are beneficial.

And that place 212 must be legit b/c they have sweet beats poppin on their website and a bunch of rims in the window of their shop..................... I've been by that place, looks like a chit hole. If you want to put lambo doors and tv screens on your car, I suppose they would fit the bill..........I wouldn't go near them for performance modifications.
    For all your 3800 needs:

I've never been by there, but by their site alone, they are crap. Of all the rolling pictures, nothing impressed me. You'd be better off trailering the car to West Coast Customs and at least getting the name brand ghetto flavor with it.

The safely modding thread is what you need to follow, research is cheap and beneficial and knowledge is something you can't put a price on. Most of everything in that thread can be done by anyone who can follow directions and has basic tools. Granted some require torque wrenches and such, but doing it yourself is SOOOO much better. Whether they look legit or not, how do you know they can do the work? You need to find a place that can properly tune after they do the changes, dyno or driven, and they need to know what steps to follow. You could tell them you want it faster, but when they do headers, K&N intake, and a 3.0 pulley, with no tune and let you leave with a $1000+ bill, you will be SOL when the pistons get chipped because they did it wrong.

im sure if you buy the stuff and bring it to their shop they will charge you less and only do the mods you have bought.
buy some headers and have them put them on for you.
you can do a cold air intake yourself, trust me i am the biggest doofass and even i cant mess that up ;P plus there are MANY threads on it.

CAI will be my first mod, later on I might do headers and exhaust and if still want more power I will drop a pulley and get a PCM tune.
Not to beat a dead horse, but if you did let the guys at Pep Boys install the CAI you will literally LOL while your standing there watching them do it cause its like the easiest thing in the world.

And on that note you are on a site that is literally dedicated to modding our cars, trust me when I say this I have no automotive education or training but just by watching you tube videos, and reading this site I have learned on how to do some pretty advanced stuff.

So my final thought if your still interested and reading is ya need to find a gear head buddy to hang out with and help ya mod your car if your still really hesitant to do some of this stuff your self.
