My wife borrowed my car and while driving back the car died and the steering wheel got hard and turned off.
The car does try to start-up, I've checked the fuel pump and it's good. I believe is the crank sensor.
Can someone help please.

Yeah it's probably the crank sensor because you lost total power. Did you check the alternator?
Check all the fuses? Underhood and in the car. Could just be that simple.
Then move on to verifying if you have spark and fuel. You checked the fuel pump? How? Does it whine for a few seconds when you turn the key on? Also, give us a year and model of this GP.
Where's what located at?
He's referring to the CKPS. It's in another thread in the N/A forum.
