The hole pump. but i didnt see a snap ring or anything.i know it has to turn but i didnt want to use a screw driver in fear of sparking something.
your taking a snap ring off.
unhooking lines.
unplugging connectors.
pulling the assembly out, dropping new one in.
push it down and hook the lines back up.
shove it down and slide the closed end of the snap ring in the back lips adjacent to the fuel lines.
walk the rest of the snap ring in.
plug the connectors back in.
snap the fuel lines on and start it up
read this thread its got a vid how to remove it. http://www.grandprixforums.net/no-st...ump-60730.html
Did mine with a pocket knife and a flathead.
I dont have any rust on, it never been in bad weather or salt, clean as a whistle. looks like the pump just turns out? --does not have a snap ring ??

Seriously guys? Stop confusing him. There is no snap ring on cars with plastic tanks. I.E. 01+.
OP, You need to take a flat screwdriver and hammer (after disconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connectors) and drive the retention ring counter clockwise until it's free. Don't worry about sparks, you'd have to really try to get one. I bang on these rings pretty hard.
Thats what i did.came out pretty easy but going back was a little tricky. but it is in and running good happy happy happy thanks for all the info.
