going to be doing a pulley drop down to a 3.4 somewhere in the near future. i'm going to have to get a new belt obviously and have been seeing some things about 8 rib pulleys. ive been wondering if theres anything super great about these? basically what are pros and cons to this so that way i may consider doing it.

IIRC they are not needed till you go to a sub 3" pulley...

Get a Napa Gates premium belt and look at it... if it looks sparkly inside, like traction tape..that's the belt you want.

8 Rib is nice, only if you have slip and even then..a wrap kit may be a better way to go.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

8 rib setups are kinda pointless. The belt wrap kits make a lot more sense.

you'd notice it because the needle would bounce in the upper RPMs and the blower would make a funny chirpy whine. you'd also have rubber somewhere (probably the hood and the pulleys).

and yes, i was being sarcastic. however, the wide belt does look awesome. i plan to run 8 rib and a belt wrap kit, but ill be trying to push as much boost as possible out of the m90.

is the belt wrap kit on zzp? i bought a mps system off of someone and he was selling a 8 rip setup for 40 bucks. i was wondering if it really did anything special. so with a 3.4 on there will i eventually have belt slip and need the wrap kit?

I like the 8rib balancers.. They are pretty cheap, install is easy and work well with 2.8 pullies.
