i have other GM cars and they're keys fit in the ignition but the steering wheel wont turn. its like if it was being hold by something really strong. and they're doesnt seem to feel a locked feeling.

might these be a big problem or should i go get a key made and see if that works?

yep the dealer only...if u have the PK3 keys, u couldnt even get this key cut at a local hardware store (if u had an xtra to copy). GM dealer should have the key cut on file, if not they can defently get it for you.

Take your VIN to any GM dealership. They can cut you a new key by just knowing the VIN. Done it a couple times.

Be sure to bring your proof of ownership as well. I don't know other dealer's rules, but the one I work at we won't even give out the key code if there is any doubt the car isn't yours.

Because before just a few years ago, thiefs were getting the VIN off of a vehicle, going to the dealer and spending a few bucks to get a key so that they can steal a car. Now, if something like that happens, the dealership is responsible for the theft and damage to a vehicle.
