Hey guys, got a fueling problem for ya.
I noticed that I have been getting excessively lean fuel trims when getting mid to high MAFF conditions (like +10-12 trims). I just changed the fuel filter thinking that was the problem cos it hasn't been done in awhile. I'm still getting the high trims.
I hooked up a fuel pressure test gauge to the fuel rail today and I'm getting 44psi key on engine off. The Haynes manual calls for 48-52 so I'm low. The odd thing is, when I turn the car on the fuel pressure goes to 48psi at idle. I would expect it to go down once there is manifold vacuum. So faulty FPR? Car has just under 180k miles on it.
I also thought about the pump but I'm hoping to avoid playing "darts" by throwing money at the car when somebody else might have more insight. Thanks guys!
