I had a SES light on the bank 2 o2 sensor awhile back and I thought maybe I had a plugged cat and the resonator was shot on the seam so I ended up ripping it all out and putting a 3inch down pipe on the exhaust manifold and by a series of....we'll say shade tree methods...I was able to put several step downs and exhaust clamps to connect said downpipe to the remaining exhaust. Obviously the SES has been on since then because of the downstream o2, so I'm ready to fix what was supposed to be a temporary solution. I thought about buying a bolt in replacement downpipe and cat from rockauto at 160ish, but I really hate to waste this 3" downpipe I have on there already. I was thinking I can just get a high flow cat and have it welded in and then have them put in a universal bung or whatever so I can put the o2 back on, that sound about right? Magnaflo makes a 3" hi flow cat and since I have a 3" DP I figured that was the way to go, ya? I'm not really concerned about sound or performance or anything this was just a quick fix that has run it's course and I'm ready to do it properly.
