Well i changed the coupler, got rid of some of the "marbles rolling" sound, but i still here another sound coming from the same general area of the engine. What else could be making a sound?

No i didn't check any of them with the belt off, i thought changing the coupler would remove all the noise. Could it be my LIM or cause my ac compressor is bad? How would i know if a pulley is bad or not?

if the noise is gone with the belt off then its a pulley or somthing driven by a pulley
you can spin by hand, when i had a tensioner go out you could feel the ball bearings inside grinding when i hand spun it

could it be that the bearings moved and now is causing the rotors to hit the casing and clunk against each other?

in not sure if this is a possibility as someone would have to verify....

hmm you cant really mess anything up like that just doin a coupler replacement... pretty straight forward unless he pulled the impeller plate out with the rotors and when placed back together it didnt sit in the bearings on the opposite side of the housing.. he wouldnt have been able to spin the pulley aftwards with out a good deal of effort if that happened

Umm.... Any chance of him hearing rotor slap??? As in maybe his coating is toast and the rotors are "clanking" together.

Theres a ton of things it could be....just want to make sure its not the simple stuff before tearing apart the charger.

The coating on the snout as a matter of fact is chipping off and in pretty bad shape. I just changed the coupler and last time i had the belt off, i spun the sc pulley when the coupler was bad to feel for bad play in it. When i changed the coupler the pulley spun nice and smooth.

well they are talking about the coating on the inside on the rotors
and my guess is its a pulley locking up, or throwing a anger fit lol.
and sounds like the blower is probably ok
just need to pull the blower belt and start see if the noise is gone, if it is spin the idlers and tensioner and feel for anything thats not smooth. they are like 16 bones at autozone

I've heard waterpumps and A/C compressors make this noise as well. The A/C compressor was the louder of the 2 and much more easily noticeable.

do not buy a snout until you think you know for sure whats wrong, most likely its not your snout i had the same problem. i thought it was the snout so i replaced the snout with a brand new Eaton m90 and a zzp coupler still made noise then i replaced the blower housing and rotor pack with a used one still mad noise but not as bad guessing it could be the needle bearings? im getting a blown l67 for free from my friend he says the supercharger is good so im gonna try it and throw that on. my car sounds find with the s/c belt off so im guessing its gotta be something with the s/c.. my tensoners do seem a little worn and should be replaces but i have a stethoscope and i hear the noise inside the s/c so idk i guess ill find out when i rip it apart again..

If its comig from the S/C then the needle bearings are probably shot. If the noise is still there without the S/C belt then it's possible it's the tensioner.

yea thats what i was thinking but its hard to tell if its a tensioner on the s/c belt when that belt is off
