to use a Wifi with android your phone needs to be rooted.

And on the topic of latency, I can't see why those devices would be slower.

PS3 uses BT for their controllers and they seem to be relatively lag free.

I have a Soliport ELM327 Bluetooth OBD-II interface, and an iPhone 4. You have to jailbreak your iPhone, buy RoqyBT on Cydia for $6 (license cost $6, otherwise it won't output info to your scan program) and the interface works just fine after that. I have it working with DashCommand. But as described above, mine doesn't seem to be able to scan for KR.

But yes, you can use a Bluetooth adapter with the iPhone.

I don't know why I bother preaching to those who won't listen. He is selling a Bluetooth Plx kiwi. Im simply stating that it works for android phones. You don't need to root your phone in order to use it.
Why would a company make you root a phone to use its product?

Plx makes the same thing for the iPhone. It's called plx kiwi wifi

You don't need to jail break the phone.

Im sure there are other products that work but I was helping with insight geared towards what he is selling as a free"bump" for a great product. I own both. GLWS

I have not tried any of the brands on eBay Probably would had been cheaper. But I use it for the 99 eclipse and used to use it for my car until I bought dual aero forces

For the Wi-Fi one, you don't have to jailbreak, for the cheapo Bluetooth, you do. Android phones should just work outright with the BT adapters. I didn't have the cash for the Kiwi adapter, but I do have $30 for the ELM327 Bluetooth.
