If we are talking to someone who is new to the platform, I would not advise it. A box tune won't SAFELY work for a 3.4 on a gen v without a cam, rockers, intercooler or E-85.

If it were someone who had good tuning experiance with the platform and was willing to take the time to tune and scan, yes it is "possible" to safely run a 3.4 given injectors aren't being maxed, and other supporting mods are in place.

No offense to anyone, but this situation seems to fall in the first category.

Top left is a Gen V Lower intake Manifold................Top Right is a Gen 3 Lower Intake Manifold

They won't look EXACTLY like stock since they have ZZPs standard port, but they are similar.

That is a Series II Lower Intake Manifold made for the Gen 3 blower.

Here is a pic of a non-ported Gen V Lower Intake Manifold from a Series III (with a gasket sitting next to it)

If you still have your factory Lower Intake Manifold that was on the 04 GTP when you got it, I would reccomend putting that on. It should help the motor flow a little better and hopefully reduce some of that KR.

Also, this makes me question if the motor you got is from an 05 since the Gen 3 was not used in Grand Prixs after 2003.

What color are your valve covers, Black or Tan?

As far as I know all 04+ Supercharged Grand Prixs came with Black. I know that Naturally Aspirated 04+ Grand Prixs and 97-03 Supercharged Grand Prixs had tan.

The good thing is that you have Supercharged heads, or the Lower Intake Manifold and Fuel Rail wouldn't work. The downside of that is that we don't know if those heads were the heads that came factory with the block. If it IS an 05 block and someone topswapped it with a gen 3 then sold it as a GTP motor, the compression difference between the Naturally Aspirated block you would have and the Supercharged block your PCM would think you have could be potentially dangerous.

Anyone with the mods OP is planning should have a custom tune or buy a tuner.

Can tune isn't going to cut it.

    Possible but not likely.

But because its possible, you can try it and scan. But start with a larger pulley and scan.

Add timing and see how much you can add.

If you hit 20, try a smaller pulley.
