I actually carry a spare PCM with me just in case I may need it at the track. granted, you're in a different boat, but I'd hang onto it just in case.

I do the same thing. But if you ever have any strange problems with your car, swapping in a stock PCM is a very easy test to make rule out a faulty tune or PCM.
Also, since you are still under warranty, I would swap the stock PCM back in when you are taking the car in for service. Some even minor repairs and the techs will reset the PCM to stock. It would really suck if they wrote over your $100 PCM.
I vote to keep it.
I actually am going to be keeping it since I am under an extended warranty still. My guys at the dealership said don't lose your stock PCM. I still have 11 more months on the extended warranty. And and since it is a platinum warranty which covers pretty much everything under the sun, I would rather lose my core charge then lose out on my warranty.
The PCM went in like a breeze, and my dealership did the case learn, which I think was just really doing the security relearn. Didn't get to really try her out yesterday, since there was all kinds of traffic out. But she seems to be a little bit of a different beast now. So am I happy, YES.....
I keep a spare (and take it with me on trips) in case my tuner bricks my current PCM. Can't be too careful.![]()
