Regular OEM thermostat is fine.. They are a thing that gets replaced time to time.

No, its not goign to hurt anything.. You just won't get enough heat out your vents and you may see in decrease in gas millage... Prper operating temps are crutial to good gas millage.

But it will not hurt anything.

The engine operates best at <=192*. Thermostat change is probably 30 minutes.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Its like 10 min to change and you'll be fine for the short time that your car will be running cool. Your tstat probably failed in the open position not allowing your car to properly warm up.

if your stock just replace with the stock one. i think thats 195. a cooler one will only net you worse gas mileage and no performance gains.

Running too cool will cause carbon to build up on you valves.
