Im new to cars completely so everything is new to me other then changing oil.

Now, i love my Grand Prix and it does sound good other then the little squeak coming from one of the pullies but as i drive for a bit, it goes away. Other then that its a nice car, it needs minor repairs as any other car would.

Im curious as to what all do you have to keep up to date on so the car is kept running smoothly? I do regular oil changes, just replaced my air filter, and replaced my pcv valve because it was going bad, but i wanna know what more i should check into to keep this car running as good as it does now?

how many miles and what year? you should check the spark plugs and wires to see how much wear they have. they shouldnt be bad if your car is running smoothly but its good to check anyways.

If it matters any, there was a recall on spark plug wire channel and so i got that replaced for free at a GM dealer.

just do your coolant elbows and intake manifold gaskets. Should be good from there. You say your new to mechanics, so i would get the LIM gaskets done at a shop unless you feel you can do it, then there is alot of help on here. Then just your normal Trans fluid, and fuel filter.

If i can see a instruction video or some kind of instructions on how to do things, i can do almost ANYTHING myself.
