1997 GP GT. Recently I have been having issues with the key coming out and I know thats from the solenoid under the wheel. Now all of a sudden to shift out of park requires a lot of pressure on the shifter button. The BTSI fuse is fine and I think its still good because I still need to press the break for me to be able to press the button and shift from park. It is only hard to press when its in park. Could this be a mechanical issue? I am going to be ripping out the solenoid under the wheel as I don't really need that extra safety feature anyways. Any help would be much appreciated please help.
