its in the middle dash behind the console, remove the console, and just start at the bottom by removing every small bolt you see till you see a heater core, (there's a few layers of stuff, and there's a bolt holding the core to the fire wall where the tubes exit) your back will hurt from having to lay in all sorts of messed up positions, but it can be done in an hour or so, did mine, sucked, but its done.

    tools needed:

nut driver, with very small sockets

    a flash light

maybe a small pillow to hold your head in some of the messed up positions you will be in

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

I'd be interested for pics. I have an 04 and I've never seen it done on an 04+ car. I've seen it done on 03 and prior years.

get a image shack or photobucket account, upload to there, then click the img link on the site, it will copy the link, then paste it here in the new post text box.

lol Thanks. I also found this: Pontiac grandprix supercharged how to replace heatercore on - JustAnswer

That guys says he doesn't need to remove the center console.
One thing no one mentions: expect to spill some antifreeze inside your car, so prepare something to catch it.

remove the 2 hoses from the engine, and blow the core out, no spillage that way.
