Hey everyone. My 2006 base gp just had a headlight bulb burn out tonight I'd like to know what kind of bulbs I've been runnin? They are the factory bulbs and were bright as hell. I would LOVE to be able to just buy the exact same ones but I can not for the life of me find out what the factory bulbs are and where/if I can buy them. Any help please? Thanks in advance

lol. Trust me, I had googled it. But what I want to know is what the FACTORY bulbs are. All I can find are replacement bulbs and they say nothing about what the fatory ones are. Anyone know?

Tell me there's a damned good reason to know this. I pulled out a Phillips. And you're a filthy liar about the light output. Get SilverStar Ultras and move on.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

@ slowna06; not quite sure what you mean by your post..What do you mean I'm a filthy liar about the light output? The bulbs in the car were the factory bulbs and they had MAGNIFICENT light output. The brightest lights I have ever had in a car or even rode in a car with, and everyone who has rode with me agreed. But yeah, I did go to wal mart today and bought some silverstar Ultras for $50 so I'm hoping they will be as bright I'll put 'em in tomorrow.
    Thanks for the help everyone

Our headlight housings don't produce stellar light output. I always feel like I'm half-blind at night, even with SilverStar Ultras in. Everyone else here complains about light output (note all the guys doing projector retrofits). Maybe you've just got awesome eyes. I dunno, man. I'm being needlessly crass tonight, but I still wish you the best with the new bulbs. Hopefully significantly brighter.

That's crazy. maybe the bulbs I had in weren't factory then? I bought the car in 06 with 10k miles though. I put in the ultras now though and they're pretty decent, but the bulbs before were much brighter. Weird that no one else has super bright factory bulbs. Meh who knows. Thanks though

Okay, so why haven't you looked at the bad but better bulbs and told us what they are?

I guess it's because I'm not as smart as you Totally didn't even look at what the bulb said. But I was able to find it in my garage luckily. Here is what it says: philips HB4 51w 9006 12v 55w DOT
So is that a factory bulb? Any comments at those bulbs? I'm definitly going to buy those again next time

Sigh. I hate to look like a lyer but the ultras are brighter than those philips I had in before. I just took the wife's word and her sister who drove it last night. I finally drove it MYSELF tonight and these are brighter. Just thought I'd say that before someone came in saying there was no way lol.
