This thread is too long for the question.
Theres a million different ways to get there.
Traction would be your best bet.
Guy did bolt ons and slicks and resulted in 13.67 or something around there.
On a 3.8 pulley.
I was going to add that the first transmission wasn't actually dead when i had it built. Flexplate cracked and it wasn't but $2,000 to get a built trans with upgrades AND the flexplate replaced vs $600 for just the flexplate replaced.
The stock trans was worn pretty badly. Clutches were charred, Input/output was missing a tooth here and there, 4th gear had half the splines missing.
The 2nd and 3rd were rebuilds of the built trans, TQ converter **** the bed the first rebuild, Channel plate gasket and another i can't quite remember went the 2nd time and car was losing 2qt/day in trans fluid, which made the tq converter **** the bed again.
4th trans is a charm though, added a trans cooler on the 1st rebuild of the built trans.
2-3 times daily 1-2nd gear WOT and we're still cookin'
