I'd check the resistor, although yours didn't fail in the "typical" way. It's worth bending one pin on a relay to know for sure.
If it's not that..it really sounds like all this freaky warm/cold/warm/freezing/hot/cold weather may have put some condensation in the fuel tanks at your station. I'd pop a can of dry gas in and see if that helps.

I will check the resistor by bending the tab....and a can of dry heat sure wont hurt. Does anyone know if the fuel pumps are the same in the GS and the GTP. All the websites show a diff number. I was just wondering why??

I only know that when I called on a pump for my 00 GS I was told that there were two versions used in 00 GS. So you had to pop the cover on the hatch and see what the sticker said or run it through your dealer via vin number

Going to try to get the relay looked at later when I have time, and the drop in pump from wbody store
