    As the title says. It just won't come off. It's rusted and just won't budge. And.... Now it's rounded off on the flare nut.

    I've Tried...

    * Line Wrenches
    * Vice Grips
    * Channel Locks
    * PB Blaster
    * Seafoam Deep Creep
    * Another Friend Trying It

    I need to get it replaced before I get re-tuned.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    YES OPEN FLAME !!!!! burn the car and replace car and filter.

    sorry.... worst case... go to a junk yard find a car where you can remove the filter and then drop the fuel tank and swap the line. if you really cant remove it its worth swapping the line vs cutting it and piecing it together with fittings

    It is not at all uncommon to use heat to get a fuel filter apart.. You typically should not be holding flame on it as you are loosening it, but fuel is not flamable on the hot metal.

    Like joshsgtp said you could try twisting the filter. just put the vice grip on the flare nut as tight as you possibly can and put ur wrench on the filter and twist it off. otherwise cut it and put a new piece on there. "piecing" it is actually not bad if you know how to flare. or you can use compression fittings. OOOORRRRR you can get real ghetto and use rubber hose and two clamps lol

    I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM: I took it to the shop and they got it off in 5 mins with a torch.

    And its doesn't always work to just "twist the filter".

    Yes, the nut was rounded, they torched it for a minute or so, and worked it off pretty quickly.
