Okay, few things. I wanted a u-bend delete, 3 inch downpipe, and slp powerflo exhaust. Questions:

    1. How much of a gain would i get from this?
    2. Is this under $1000 total?
    3. Will this sound good?

um downpipes will delete the u bend and there like 150-300
and your 3800 will never sound good. headers, cherry bomb, and stock mufflers is the best sound. so waaaaayyyyy less then a g

If your not seriously modded you won't get any gain from the catback. Throw headers on and leave your stock catback.

    1. How much of a gain would i get from this?
You will lose boost, which can cause a loss of bottom end power
    2. Is this under $1000 total?
I would certainly hope that you are not spending anywhere near $1000 for a downpipe and 2 mufflers...
    3. Will this sound good?
No. Its a 3800... The only good sounding exhaust retains stock mufflers.

Well i'm pretty sure anything will sound better than what i have now. And okay i was unaware the dp removed the ubend. Right now, i have 2 huge honda civic ****ty sounding mufflers, then they connect by a pipe down to the ubend. My car has basically no tone or anything..it just gets louder when i rev it. Heres a pic of mine now, i tried to edit it a little better so you can see. So the stock mufflers aren't there.

so you just have straight pipe to your "honda" mufflers.... no resonator/glass pack?

If no.. I would start there first.
Its just a car.......with rust and dreams for the future!!!!

Headers are only $200 installed if you do it yourself

The headers cost $200 and if you install them yourself the install is free. The headers include the dp. Then you can take it to a exhaust place and have them do the rest of the exhaust for a couple hundred.

    Headers $200
    2 Glasspacks ~ $70
Mufflers $88 for 2 factory mufflers from rockauto.com

If you can find a friend to weld it all together, you'll come in WELL under budget. If you go to a shop or want larger custom piping, it will come a lot closer to your budget.

and larger piping will net you nada. this is all easily done for under 500 bones. go to the junk yard and hack some stock mufflers, buy headers and beer and install them, have a shop weld em all up when done, and spend 25 bucks on a cherry bomb and have said exhaust shop do that too.

How hard is it to install headers? If I could get the headers+downpipe, cherrybomb, stock mufflers for $500 or around there, we're good. But wait then do i actually have to buy like an exhaust system? thats like another $500?

no exhaust system and the headers come with a dp. you need the following.
    headers-200
    beer-60
a couple friends-free or bribe them with the beer
    header install thread-free
    a solid full friday
    a 28inch cherry bomb 30 (some like 2)
    stock mufflers 50ish

now start in the morning firday with friends and beer, install headers. sat morning take to exhaust shop to have them weld up the things you couldnt, and cut out your factory resonator to be replaced by your cherry bomb, and replace your mufflers with the stockers. end cost prob around 450 all said and done.
